Hi welcome to my blog!!
I thought I would give you a few snipets about myself and my salon.
I am very passionate about hair and makeup. I have been in this fantastic industry for over 16 years and makeup for over 9 years. I enjoy both hair and make up however I have been in love with hair colouring since I picked up my first tint brush at the age of 14! I love taking a client and transforming them to make them look and feel fabulous!
I have also had the amazing opportunity to have worked on Harry Potter and the goblet of fire film for Warner Bros , BBC’s Holby City and I have worked on many fashion shoots and other fashion related projects. My self and my team regularly get booked up for weddings at home and abroad and other events.
I also have worked very closely with Organic Colour Systems where I was honored to be one of only 2 UK mentor for nearly 3 years and currently I am working along side Oway and have recently become an ambassador for the brand. This means I get to teach how these amazing products work to other stylists and I always have to be up to date on knowledge of new techniques and products.
I am very proud to be a State registered Senior hairdresser and fully support this accreditation. I’m also very proud to have received my master craftsman award in hairdressing. I am also a part of the National Hairdressers Federation and I am also an Salon Jedi partner which helps keep our standards at the salon at a high level.
I completely believe in natural and organic living and I love that I can combine both my passions.
This is why I came up with The Hair Secret. It is a salon which combines natural and organic products and on trend hair and make up.
In 2015 I also launched Bloom Beauty Bar which was located within The Hair Secret. It has now changed to The Beauty Room at The Hair Secret and we specialise in Brow and make up services.
I opened up Bloom because I love the idea of somewhere where you can go and it just be about make up and brows and it all be under one roof. So you can pop in and walk out feeling amazing and not have to worry about your hair and make up.
I am also a very proud mum to Jake and Joshua . I am passionate about my family. You will see both my boys and my husband Ashley around sometimes as The Hair Secret is a family business.
My team is also very important to me I like to spend as much time as possible training and guiding them. I would also say we are very much like a family here I fully support them in having a vibrant career in our great industry.
